1. Disconnect the PTO shaft from the tractor.
2. Remove the guards and shields that provide access to the cutter bar.
3. Locate the cutter bar drive belt. It is usually located on the left side of the haybine.
4. Loosen the tensioner pulley to remove the belt.
5. Inspect the belt for damage. If the belt is cracked, frayed, or broken, it must be replaced.
6. If the belt is still in good condition, clean it with a brush or compressed air.
7. Apply a small amount of grease to the belt.
8. Reinstall the belt around the pulleys and tensioner.
9. Tighten the tensioner pulley until the belt is snug.
10. Reinstall the guards and shields that you removed in step 2.
11. Reconnect the PTO shaft to the tractor.
12. Start the tractor and engage the PTO.
13. Test the cutter bar to ensure that it is working properly.
