• Open the front door on the side of the vehicle you’ll be working on.
• Pull up on the door release handle to open the door.
Step 2: Locate the screws
• Look along the top and bottom edges of the belt molding for screws.
• The screws may be covered with caps or plugs.
• Pry off the caps or plugs to expose the screws.
Step 3: Remove the screws.
Use a Phillips-head screwdriver to remove the screws that secure the belt molding in place.
Be careful not to drop the screws.
Step 4: Remove the weatherstrip
• Gently pull the weatherstrip away from the door.
• Start at one end of the molding and work your way to the other.
• Be careful not to damage the weatherstrip.
Step 5: Remove the belt molding
• Once all the screws are removed and the weatherstrip removed, you can remove the belt molding.
• Start at one end of the molding and work your way to the other.
• Gently pull the molding away from the door until it comes off.
Step 6: Clean the door
• Wipe the door clean with a damp cloth to remove any dirt, debris, or adhesive residue.
• Let the door dry completely.
Step 7: Reinstall the weatherstrip
• Once the door is dry, you can reinstall the weatherstrip.
• Start at one end of the weatherstrip and work your way to the other.
• Press the weatherstrip into place until it is secure.
Step 8: Reinstall the belt molding
• Once the weatherstrip is reinstalled, you can reinstall the belt molding.
• Start at one end of the molding and work your way to the other.
• Press the molding into place until it is secure.
Step 9: Reinstall the screws.
• Replace the screws that you removed in Step 3.
• Tighten the screws until they are snug.
Step 10: Close the Front Door
• Close the front door to complete the installation.
