How do you remove the ashtray from 4.2 Audi A6 2000?

1. Open the ashtray.

2. Remove the rubber mat at the bottom of the ashtray.

3. You will see two screws holding the ashtray in place. Loosen the screws with a Phillips head screwdriver.

4. Once the screws are removed, you can pull the ashtray out of the dashboard.

5. Disconnect the electrical connector for the ashtray light and 12V socket if your car is so equipped.

6. Reinstall the ashtray by reversing these steps.
