How do you replace the license plate bulb on a 1999 Mercedes E320?

To replace the license plate bulb on a 1999 Mercedes E320:

1. Open the trunk of the car.

2. Locate the black license plate light assembly on the inside of the trunk lid.

3. Use a Phillips head screwdriver to loosen and remove the screw holding the light assembly in place.

4. Carefully remove the light assembly from the trunk lid.

5. Twist and remove the old bulb.

6. Replace the old bulb with a new 5-watt or 10-watt bulb (bulb # W5W).

7. Reattach the light assembly to the trunk lid using the screw removed earlier.

8. Test the new bulb by turning on the headlights and checking that the license plate is properly illuminated.
