- Start by removing the two screws at the bottom of the door panel.
- Next, remove the three screws along the top of the door panel.
- Finally, remove the two screws behind the door handle.
- Gently pry the door panel off, starting from the bottom and working your way up.
2. Locate the door handle release cable.
- The door handle release cable is a thin metal cable connected to the inside door handle.
- It is usually located near the top of the door panel.
3. Disconnect the door handle release cable.
- To disconnect the door handle release cable, simply pull it out of the clip that holds it in place.
4. Remove the inside door handle.
- The inside door handle is held in place by two screws.
- Remove these screws and then pull the door handle out of the door.
5. Install the new inside door handle.
- To install the new inside door handle, simply reverse the steps you took to remove the old door handle.
- Be sure to connect the door handle release cable to the new handle before installing it.
6. Reattach the door panel.
- To reattach the door panel, simply align it with the door frame and press it into place.
- Start by securing the two screws at the bottom of the door panel.
- Next, secure the three screws along the top of the door panel.
- Finally, secure the two screws behind the door handle.
