How to turn off the Anti-Theft Alarm System and Immobilizer

  1. Make sure the driver’s door is fully closed.

  2. Press the unlock button on the key fob.

  3. Within 10 seconds enter the vehicle, put the key into the ignition switch and turn it to the “ON” position.

  4. Turn the ignition switch to the “OFF” position and remove the key. The horn will sound for approximately 10 seconds. When the horn sound stops the Anti-Theft Alarm System will be deactivated.

Note: If the Anti-Theft Alarm System sounds more than twice (four chirps) it is because the Passive Arming feature has been activated. Deactivate the system within 30 seconds or it will reactivate.
