2. Prepare your car:

- Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
3. Remove the valve cover:
- Locate the valve cover on top of the engine.
- Use a 10 mm socket to loosen and remove the valve cover bolts.
- Carefully remove the valve cover and place it aside.
4. Locate the valve clearance:
- Turn the crankshaft until the piston of the cylinder you want to adjust is at the top of its stroke (Top Dead Center or TDC).
- Use the flashlight to check if the piston is at TDC by looking through the spark plug hole.
- Identify the intake and exhaust valves for the cylinder you want to adjust.
5. Adjust the valve clearance:
- Use the feeler gauge to check the clearance between the valve stem and the rocker arm.
- The clearance should be within the specified range provided in the car's service manual.
- If the clearance is too small or too large, adjust the valve using the valve adjustment tool by turning the screw or nut until the correct clearance is achieved.
6. Repeat for other cylinders:
- Repeat steps 4 and 5 for each of the remaining cylinders, ensuring that the piston of each cylinder is at TDC when adjusting its valves.
7. Reinstall the valve cover:
- Once all valves are adjusted, reinstall the valve cover.
- Make sure the gasket between the valve cover and the engine head is properly seated.
- Tighten the valve cover bolts in a criss-cross pattern to evenly distribute pressure.
8. Reconnect the battery:
- Reconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
9. Start the engine and check the valve adjustment:
- Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes.
- Check for any unusual engine noises or rough idling, which may indicate incorrect valve adjustment.
- If everything sounds and feels normal, your valve adjustment is successful.
