How can i get shut of the immobilizer on my BMW 318i. Since replaced battery it wont run thanks?

To disable the immobilizer on your BMW 318i after replacing the battery, you will need to follow the steps below:

1. Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery. This will cut power to the car and prevent any accidents or damage to the electrical system.

2. Locate the immobilizer box in your car. It is usually situated under the center console or behind the dashboard.

3. Once you have located the immobilizer box, remove the cover and open it up. You will see a circuit board with several wires and components attached to it.

4. Locate the wire that is connected to the "enable" terminal of the immobilizer box. This wire is usually labeled as "EN", "ENA", or "IGN".

5. Cut the "enable" wire and connect a switch between the cut wires. This switch will be used to disable the immobilizer when necessary.

6. Reconnect the negative terminal of the battery.

7. Turn on the switch that you installed in step 5. This will disable the immobilizer and allow you to start the car.

By following these steps, you will be able to successfully bypass the immobilizer on your BMW 318i. However, it is important to note that disabling the immobilizer may compromise the security of your car and make it more susceptible to theft. It is recommended to consult with a professional auto electrician or mechanic before proceeding with this procedure.
