How do you change the wiper motor on a 1994 Ford F150?

Materials Needed:

- New wiper motor

- Flat-head screwdriver

- Ratchet

- Socket wrench

- Pliers

- Wire strippers

- Electrical tape

Instructions:

1. Disconnect the battery. This is a safety precaution to prevent any electrical injuries.

2. Remove the wiper arms. There are two wiper arms, one on the driver's side and one on the passenger's side. To remove each arm, use a flat-head screwdriver to pry up the plastic cover at the base of the arm. Then, use a ratchet and socket wrench to loosen and remove the nut holding the arm in place.

3. Remove the wiper motor cover. The wiper motor cover is located on the passenger's side of the engine compartment. Use a flat-head screwdriver to pry up the plastic clips holding the cover in place. Then, lift the cover off.

4. Disconnect the electrical connector. The electrical connector is located on the back of the wiper motor. Use a flat-head screwdriver to pry up the plastic tab holding the connector in place. Then, pull the connector off of the wiper motor.

5. Remove the wiper motor bolts. There are three bolts holding the wiper motor in place. Use a ratchet and socket wrench to loosen and remove the bolts.

6. Take out the old wiper motor. Once the bolts are removed, you can lift the wiper motor out of the engine compartment.

7. Install the new wiper motor. Place the new wiper motor in the engine compartment and secure it with the three bolts.

8. Reconnect the electrical connector. Connect the electrical connector to the back of the wiper motor and secure it with the plastic tab.

9. Replace the wiper motor cover. Place the wiper motor cover back on and secure it with the plastic clips.

10. Reattach the wiper arms. Reattach the wiper arms by putting the nuts back on and tightening them with a ratchet and socket wrench.

11. Replace the plastic covers. Replace the plastic covers at the base of the wiper arms.

12. Reconnect the battery. Reconnect the battery to restore power to the vehicle.

Tips:

- If the wiper arms are difficult to remove, you may need to use a penetrating oil to loosen the nuts.

- Be careful not to drop any of the bolts or nuts.

- Make sure that the electrical connector is properly seated before closing the hood.
