How do you disable the immobilizer on a 1994 Peugeot 306 xld Diesel?

Disconnect the battery.

1. Open the hood of the car using the hood release lever inside the cabin.

2. Locate the battery; it's usually a black or gray plastic case near the front of the engine compartment.

3. There are two terminals on the battery: a negative terminal (-) and a positive terminal (+).

4. Start by disconnecting the negative terminal. It's usually marked with a minus sign (-).

5. Use the wrench to loosen the nut on the negative terminal.

6. Once the nut is loose, you can pull the cable off the terminal.

7. Be sure it doesn't touch any other metal parts in the engine compartment.

8. Now, loosen the positive terminal nut the same way as the negative terminal.

9. Pull the positive cable off the battery terminal and ensure it does not touch any metal parts in the engine compartment.

10. Allow at least 30 minutes to allow the car computer to reset.

11. Reconnect the battery, connecting the positive terminal first and then the negative terminal.

Remove the immobilizer chip from the key

1. Insert your Peugeot key into the ignition and turn the key to the "On" position.

2. Quickly, with your other hand, press and hold either 1 or 3 in your other hand.

3. Turn the Peugeot's key to "Off" while still holding the button.

4. Release the button.

5. Turn your Peugeot's key to "On." If your car starts, your immobilizer is successfully disengaged.
