- A flathead screwdriver
- A Phillips head screwdriver
- A socket wrench
- A 10mm socket
Instructions:
1. Open the hood of your BMW.
2. Use the flathead screwdriver to pry the plastic cover off of the hood ornament.
3. Use the Phillips head screwdriver to remove the two screws that hold the hood ornament in place.
4. Use the socket wrench and 10mm socket to remove the nut that holds the hood ornament in place.
5. Carefully remove the hood ornament from the hood.
To replace the hood ornament, follow these steps in reverse order:
1. Place the hood ornament in the hole in the hood.
2. Replace the nut and tighten it with the socket wrench and 10mm socket.
3. Replace the two screws with the Phillips head screwdriver.
4. Replace the plastic cover with the flathead screwdriver.
Tips:
- Be careful not to drop the hood ornament. It is made of metal and can easily damage your car if it falls.
- Make sure that the screws and the nut are tightened securely before closing the hood of your car.
If you are uncomfortable removing the hood ornament yourself, you can take your car to a BMW dealership or qualified mechanic to have it done for you.
