Why is My Car Making That Noise?

Nothing can make your heart race faster than hearing an out-of-place noise coming from your car. Sounds are definitely indicative of a problem, and they should be addressed as soon as possible to keep you and others safe and to help you save money!

Whining/ Squealing

If you hear a whining or squealing noise in your car, this is usually a belt that needs attention. Although belts are not a major engine function, they are still very important and can cause some big problems if you lose one.

Ticking

A ticking sound could be low engine oil.

Knocking

Low on oil or damage to the engine

Scraping
