Audi e-tron unveiled In India

German carmaker Audi on Saturday revealed the brand new e-tron for the Indian market. The e-tron is an all-electric SUV that was revealed globally in last year and is Audi’s first truly all-electric car. Now, we have more details as the Audi e-tron has been previewed in India for the first time before it is launch.

The journey of e-tron hasn’t been the smoothest. Audi has been witnessing a lot of production delays and now declining sales numbers are also a cause of concern for Audi.

However, what is interesting to note is the fact that Audi is constantly trying to push the launch the E-Tron in India as per the original schedule, in the latter half of 2019. Given the SUV’s is going to be expensive, we need to see the Audi e-Tron ex-showroom price and whatever is the battery status that they get to witness. Due to the current scenario in the Indian market, Audi does, in fact, anticipate limited demand for the model. Audi says that they already have enough stock to meet the Indian market’s requirements.

The car is a five-seat SUV which is somewhere between the body size of the Q5 and Q7. The E-Tron is run on two motors. One is a 125kW which is in the front and 140kw at the rear. These two motors will provide an all-wheel-drive, with a total of 408hp and 664Nm of torque. Audi is of the belief that the car achieves 0-100kph in 5.5sec (at fill power in boost mode), and goes on to a top speed of 200kph.

The 95kWh battery pack can be charged with the help of a regenerative braking tech and a wall charger. The E-Tron can charge to 80 percent capacity within 30min via a DC fast-charger or through a home AC current with either a 230V or a faster 400V system.
