1. Disconnect the battery. This is important to prevent accidental airbag deployment.
2. Remove the steering wheel. There are two bolts on the back of the steering wheel that need to be removed. Once the bolts are removed, you can pull the steering wheel straight out.
3. Remove the airbag module. There are four screws that hold the airbag module in place. Once the screws are removed, you can carefully remove the airbag module.
4. Disconnect the airbag connector. There is a yellow connector on the back of the airbag module that needs to be disconnected.
5. Remove the airbag cover. The airbag cover is held in place by four plastic clips. You can use a flat-head screwdriver to pry the clips loose and remove the airbag cover.
Once the airbag cover is removed, you can replace it with a new one. To reinstall the airbag cover, simply reverse the steps above.
