The fuse for the power windows in a 1997 Chevy Silverado is located in the fuse block under the hood, on the driver's side of the vehicle. The fuse is labeled "PWR WDO".
Here are the steps to access and replace the power window fuse:
1. Open the hood of your Silverado.
2. Locate the fuse block. It is a black plastic box located on the driver's side of the engine compartment, near the battery.
3. Remove the cover of the fuse block. There are two tabs on the front of the cover that you can press to release it.
4. Find the "PWR WDO" fuse. It is located in the second row of fuses, from the left side.
5. Inspect the fuse. If the fuse is blown, it will be black or brown and the metal filament will be broken.
6. If the fuse is blown, replace it with a new fuse of the same amperage. The amperage of the fuse is printed on the top of the fuse.
7. Replace the cover of the fuse block.
8. Close the hood of your Silverado.
The power windows should now be working properly.
