What age can a child ride in the front seat of car Alabama?

According to the Alabama Child Restraint Law, children under the age of 6 must be restrained in a child safety seat or child restraint system appropriate for their age, weight, and size. Children who are 6 years of age or older but under the age of 15 must be restrained in a child restraint system or a seat belt.

As per Alabama law, it is recommended that children under 13 years old ride in the back seat to reduce the risk of injury in the event of a crash. However, there is no law in Alabama that specifically states the age at which a child can ride in the front seat, as long as they are properly restrained.
