When is a used car sale final?

A used car sale is final when all of the following conditions have been met:

* The buyer and seller have both signed the sales contract.

* The buyer has paid the agreed-upon purchase price.

* The seller has delivered the car to the buyer.

Once all of these conditions have been met, the sale is considered final and neither party can back out of it.

There are a few exceptions to this general rule. For example, if the seller misrepresented the condition of the car, the buyer may be able to rescind the sale. However, these exceptions are narrow and it is important to consult with an attorney if you are considering backing out of a used car sale.
