What is the steering wheel used for in a car?
The steering wheel is used to control the direction of the car. Turning the steering wheel left or right causes the wheels on the front of the car to turn accordingly, changing the direction of the vehicle. The steering wheel is connected to the steering column, which is connected to the steering rack or steering gearbox. As the steering wheel is turned, the steering rack or gearbox moves, which in turn causes the wheels to turn.
