*A heat gun or hair dryer
*A razor blade or utility knife
*A plastic scraper
*A spray bottle filled with water
*A lint-free cloth
Instructions:
1.Start by parking your car in a shady spot. If possible, wait for a warm day to make the job easier.
2.Use the heat gun or hair dryer to heat up the tint on one window. Hold the heat gun or hair dryer about 6 inches away from the window and move it back and forth until the tint starts to bubble and peel.
3.Use the razor blade or utility knife to score the tint along the edge of the window. Be careful not to cut through the window film.
4.Use the plastic scraper to remove the tint from the window. Start at the top of the window and work your way down.
5.Spray the window with water to help loosen the adhesive.
6.Use the lint-free cloth to wipe away any remaining adhesive.
Repeat steps 2-6 for each window that you want to remove the tint from.
Tips:
*If the tint is old or damaged, it may be easier to remove by using a chemical stripper. However, be sure to read the directions on the stripper carefully before using it.
*Be careful not to use too much heat when removing the tint. This could damage the window film or the paint on your car.
*If you are having difficulty removing the tint, you may want to take your car to a professional window tinting shop.
