Early life
Royce was born on May 11, 1989, in The Bronx, New York, to Dominican parents. He began singing at the age of 13 and was later discovered by the record producer Sergio George.
Career
Royce released his self-titled debut album in 2010. The album was a commercial success, reaching number one on the US Billboard Top Latin Albums chart and was certified triple platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
Royce's second album, "Phase II", was released in 2012. The album was also a commercial success, reaching number one on the US Billboard Top Latin Albums chart and was certified double platinum by the RIAA.
Royce's third album, "Soy El Mismo", was released in 2013. The album was another commercial success, reaching number one on the US Billboard Top Latin Albums chart and was certified platinum by the RIAA.
Royce's fourth album, "Five", was released in 2017. The album was a commercial success, reaching number three on the US Billboard Top Latin Albums chart and was certified gold by the RIAA.
Royce has also collaborated with other artists, including Pitbull, Daddy Yankee, Jennifer Lopez, and Shakira. He has won numerous awards, including three Latin Grammy Awards, an American Music Award, and two Billboard Music Awards.
Personal life
Royce is married to Emeraude Toubia, an American actress. The couple have two children.
