How do you get to the battery on 1989 Harley electra glide classic?

1. Lift the seat.

2. Remove the negative battery cable from the connector located on the bottom right of the battery, as seen when the seat is removed.

3. Next remove the positive battery cable from the connector on the battery located on the top left of the battery, as seen when the seat is removed.

4. Unscrew the 2 screws holding the battery box strap using a Torx T-15 wrench or equivalent.

5. Lift the battery box strap off the battery.

6. Remove battery from motorcycle and place on flat, protected surface.
