On a 2000 Chevy Silverado V6, the ignition module isn't a separate, easily identifiable component like in older vehicles. The ignition control module's function is integrated into the
Powertrain Control Module (PCM). The PCM is usually located under the dash, but on some Silverado models it might be found under the hood near the firewall.
You won't find a separate box labeled "Ignition Module". Any troubleshooting related to ignition timing or coil firing would involve diagnosing the PCM itself.
