What are ABS EBD EPS in a car?

ABS, EBD, and EPS are all electronic safety and driver-assistance systems found in many modern cars. They stand for:

* ABS: Anti-lock Braking System. This prevents the wheels from locking up during hard braking, allowing the driver to maintain steering control and avoid skidding. It does this by rapidly pumping the brakes many times per second.

* EBD: Electronic Brakeforce Distribution. This system works in conjunction with ABS. It senses the weight distribution of the vehicle and automatically adjusts the braking force applied to each wheel. This is particularly important in situations where braking on an uneven surface or with a heavy load in the back might cause the rear wheels to lock up before the front.

* EPS: Electric Power Steering. This system uses an electric motor to assist the driver in turning the steering wheel. It provides variable assistance depending on the speed of the vehicle, making it easier to maneuver at low speeds and providing more direct feel at higher speeds. It's an alternative to hydraulic power steering.
