Where is the thermostat on 2004 mustang cobra?

The thermostat on a 2004 Mustang Cobra is located on the engine, behind the intake manifold, on the passenger side of the engine. It's not easily accessible and requires removing the intake manifold to replace it. This is a fairly involved job best left to someone experienced with automotive repair.
