Important Note: Many mechanics and repair manuals caution against checking or adding transmission fluid to newer vehicles, including many from 2006. These vehicles often don't have a traditional dipstick, and improper fluid levels can cause serious transmission damage. Instead of adding fluid yourself, consult your owner's manual or a qualified mechanic. They can properly diagnose any transmission issues and ensure the correct fluid level and type are used. Adding the wrong type of fluid can be very damaging.
