To find your oxygen sensor(s):
1. Consult your owner's manual: This is the best resource. It will have diagrams showing the location of all sensors.
2. Use a repair manual: A Haynes or Chilton repair manual specific to your year, make, and model will provide detailed diagrams and instructions.
3. Online resources: Search online using your specific vehicle's year, make, model, and engine (e.g., "2015 Dodge Ram 1500 5.7L Hemi oxygen sensor location"). You might find diagrams or forum posts from other owners who have done the same repair.
4. Use a parts lookup website: Websites like AutoZone, Advance Auto Parts, or RockAuto allow you to enter your vehicle information and will show you diagrams that often include sensor locations.
General locations (but not guaranteed for your specific truck): Oxygen sensors are usually found in the exhaust manifold or in the exhaust pipe relatively close to the exhaust manifold (upstream) and further down the exhaust pipe (downstream). They are typically threaded into the exhaust system. They may be near the catalytic converter(s).
Important Note: Working on your exhaust system involves heat and potentially dangerous gases. If you're not comfortable working on your vehicle yourself, take it to a qualified mechanic.
