There isn't a readily accessible, easily identifiable "fuel cut-off switch" like you might find on some heavier machinery or race cars on a 2001 Mercury Cougar. Modern passenger vehicles don't typically have such a switch as a standard feature. The fuel system is controlled electronically and is shut down by the car's computer system in various situations (e.g., crash, engine shut-off).
To stop fuel flow in an emergency situation, your best bet is to disconnect the negative (-) terminal from your battery. This will cut power to the fuel pump and prevent fuel from being delivered to the engine. This should only be done in a true emergency. Remember that disconnecting the battery will also disable other critical systems.
