1. Consult your owner's manual: This is the most reliable source. The manual will have a diagram of the fuse box showing the location of each fuse and what it protects.
2. Look for a fuse block diagram on the inside of the fuse box cover: Many fuse boxes have a diagram printed on the inside of the cover.
3. Check the fuse box labeling: The fuses are often labeled with what circuit they protect. Look for labels mentioning "power outlet," "accessory," "cigarette lighter," or a similar description.
If you can't find it in the underhood fuse block: There might be a smaller fuse block inside the vehicle's cabin, usually located under the dashboard or in the center console. Again, check your owner's manual for its location and diagram.
Important Note: Before checking fuses, turn off the ignition. Also, remember that fuses are usually small and fragile, so handle them carefully.
