How do you turn off daytime running lights 2008 Chrysler 300 Lx?

You can't turn off the daytime running lights (DRLs) on a 2008 Chrysler 300 LX. They are automatically activated whenever the engine is running and the headlights are not switched on. There's no setting or fuse to disable them.
