The 2000 Buick Century with the 3.1L V6 requires
Dexron III power steering fluid. Do
not use any other type. While some stores might sell "universal" power steering fluid, it's best to stick with Dexron III to avoid potential damage to your power steering system. The formulation is specific and using the wrong fluid can lead to leaks, pump failure, or other problems.
