What grade of gas should be used in a 1993 Lincoln Town Car?

The 1993 Lincoln Town Car's owner's manual will specify the recommended fuel grade. However, most likely it calls for regular unleaded gasoline. While higher octane fuel won't hurt, it's unnecessary and a waste of money unless the engine is modified or experiencing knocking (pinging).
