1999 Chevy Venture vans generally
do not have standard power outlets (120V AC) like you'd find in a home. They typically only have
12V DC power outlets, often called cigarette lighter sockets or accessory power outlets. These are located in the center console area and sometimes in the rear of the vehicle. You'll need a
12V DC to USB adapter or a
12V DC to AC inverter to charge your phone.
The 12V DC outlet looks like a small cylindrical hole designed to accept the plug of a cigarette lighter (though these are rarely used for that purpose anymore). You'll plug your adapter into this outlet.
