What is the difference between a 1996 Chevy Caprice and 96 Classic?

In 1996, there wasn't a separate "Chevy Classic" model. The Chevrolet Caprice was simply the Caprice. There might be some confusion with later years or perhaps a dealer-specific naming convention. There were different trim levels *within* the 1996 Caprice lineup (like a base model and possibly an "LS" or similar higher trim level) that offered different features, but they were all still called Caprices.
