* Spark plug socket
* Ratchet
* Spark plug gap tool (optional)
* New spark plugs
Instructions:
1. Turn off the engine and let it cool down completely.
2. Open the hood of the car.
3. Locate the spark plugs. They are located on the top of the engine, near the front.
4. Remove the spark plug wires by pulling them straight out of the spark plugs. Be careful not to pull on the wires too hard, as you may damage them.
5. Use the spark plug socket to loosen spark plugs.
6. Remove the old spark plugs.
7. (Optional) Gap the new spark plugs. The gap is the distance between the center electrode and the ground electrode. The correct gap for your vehicle can be found in your owner's manual.
8. Screw in the new spark plugs by hand. Be sure to tighten them snugly.
9. Reattach the spark plug wires. Be sure to push them all the way on, until they snap into place.
10. Close the hood of the car.
That's it! You have now successfully replaced the spark plugs in your 2008 Pontiac Vibe.
