Where is the thermostat in a Jeep Liberty 3.7?

The thermostat in a Jeep Liberty 3.7 is located on the front of the engine, just below the upper radiator hose. It is held in place by two bolts. To remove the thermostat, you will need to remove these bolts and then pry the thermostat out of its housing. Be careful not to lose the gasket that is between the thermostat and the housing.
