The 1948 Mercury was offered in six body styles:
* Club coupe
* Convertible
* Four-door sedan
* Two-door sedan
* Four-door suburban
* Two-door woody wagon.
Each one varied slightly in price for new car shoppers in 1948, but not by a significant margin. The convertible, like all other two-door models, came with a six-cylinder flathead engine under its hood.
