1. Open the hood of your vehicle and locate the carburetor. The choke cable will be attached to the carburetor on the passenger's side.
2. Disconnect the old choke cable from the carburetor by pushing down on the release button and pulling the cable out of the bracket.
3. Attach the new choke cable to the carburetor by inserting the cable into the bracket and pushing up on the release button until it snaps into place.
4. Take note of the bracket, which might have a spring at the other end. Place a loop in the cable jacket about 1/4" down from the end and connect it to the spring loop.
5. Connect the choke cable to the choke rod that is attached to the carburetor. The choke rod is usually located on the front of the carburetor.
6. Adjust the choke cable so that there is a slight amount of slack in the cable when the choke is fully closed.
7. Close the hood of your vehicle.
Here are some additional tips for connecting the choke cable:
* Make sure that the choke cable is routed correctly. The cable should run from the carburetor to the choke rod without any sharp bends.
* If the choke cable is too tight or too loose, it will not function properly. Adjust the cable until there is a slight amount of slack in the cable when the choke is fully closed.
* If you are having difficulty connecting the choke cable, consult a professional mechanic for assistance.
