1. Park your car on a level surface and turn off the engine. Engage the parking brake and chock the wheels to keep the vehicle from rolling.
2. Locate the power steering belt. It is usually located near the front of the engine, and is usually black in color.
3. Use a socket wrench to loosen the bolts that hold the power steering pump in place. There should be two or three bolts, depending on the model of your vehicle.
4. Use a screwdriver to pry the power steering pump away from the engine. Be careful not to damage the pump or any of the hoses connected to it.
5. Once the power steering pump is loose, you can remove the old power steering belt. To do this, use a pair of pliers to pry the belt off of the pulleys.
6. Install the new power steering belt. Start by putting the belt around the pulley on the crankshaft. Then, work your way around the other pulleys, ensuring that the belt is properly seated in each one.
7. Reattach the power steering pump to the engine. Use a socket wrench to tighten the bolts that you loosened earlier.
8. Test the power steering system. Start the engine and turn the steering wheel all the way to the left and right. The power steering should work smoothly and without any噪音。
