2. Remove the distributor cap. There are usually two screws that hold it in place.
3. Look at the inside of the distributor cap. You will see four terminals, and they are usually marked with numbers or letters.
4. Match the numbers or letters on the distributor cap with the numbers or letters on the distributor body. This will tell you which wire goes to which terminal.
5. Install the distributor cap. Make sure it is seated properly, and then tighten the screws.
6. Connect the wires to the distributor cap. Make sure they are connected to the correct terminals.
7. Start the engine and check for proper operation. The engine should run smoothly, and there should be no misfires.
