1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Drain the coolant. Refer to Draining and Refilling the Cooling System in this section.
3. Remove the drive belts. Refer to Accessory Drive Belt Replacement in this section.
4. Remove the water pump pulley retaining bolts and remove the water pump pulley from the water pump.
5. Remove the two bolts and the four nuts that hold the water pump in place, and remove the water pump.
Installation Note:
- Use a new O-ring and gasket for installation.
- When installing the water pump, torque the four nuts to 15 ft. lbs. (20 Nm) in the sequence given in the illustration.
- Add coolant and check for leaks.
