1. The speed sensor is located on the top of the transmission, just below the air filter housing.
2. It is a small, black cylindrical device with a single electrical connector.
3. To access the speed sensor, you will need to remove the air filter housing.
4. This can be done by loosening the two bolts that hold it in place.
5. Once the air filter housing is removed, you will be able to see the speed sensor.
6. Disconnect the electrical connector by pressing down on the locking tab and pulling the connector straight up.
7. Unscrew the speed sensor using a 10mm wrench.
8. Be careful not to drop the O-ring that is located on the end of the speed sensor.
9. Install the new speed sensor by screwing it into the transmission.
10. Tighten the speed sensor until it is snug.
11. Reattach the electrical connector by pushing it onto the speed sensor until it clicks into place.
12. Reinstall the air filter housing.
