* Socket set (10mm, 12mm, and 15mm sockets)
* Extension
* Ratchet
* Jack
* Jack stands
* Wheel chocks
Procedure
1. Park the vehicle on a level surface and apply the parking brake.
2. Chock the wheels to prevent the vehicle from rolling.
3. Jack up the vehicle and support it on jack stands.
4. Remove the battery cable from the negative terminal of the battery.
5. Remove the air intake tube (if necessary).
6. Disconnect the electrical connector from the starter solenoid.
7. Remove the two bolts that hold the starter to the engine block.
8. Carefully lower the starter from the engine compartment.
Installation
1. Place the starter into position on the engine block.
2. Install the two bolts that hold the starter to the engine block.
3. Reconnect the electrical connector to the starter solenoid.
4. Reinstall the air intake tube (if necessary).
5. Connect the battery cable to the negative terminal of the battery.
6. Lower the vehicle off the jack stands.
