Porsche, a luxury auto manufacturer has launched its first full-electric car, Taycan in India at Rs 1.50 crore (ex-showroom). The deliveries of the Porsche Taycan EV will commence in the first quarter of 2022.

Porsche Taycan is a four-door electric vehicle will compete with the recently launched Audi e-Tron GT. The Taycan electric made its debut in September 2019.
Taycan is available in three variants as 4S, Turbo and Turbo S spread across two battery configurations. In India Porsche is offering the Taycan and Taycan Cross Turismo variants in India.
The Porsche Taycan entry-level comes with a rear-wheel-drive setup making it 408 hp. The Taycan models get electric motors mounted on both. It delivers up to 530 hp output and the 4S can accelerate 0-100 kmph in just 4.0 sec. The Taycan Cross Turismo 4S gives 571 hp. Whereas the Taycan Turbo provides up to 680 hp with a 0-100 kmph acceleration in 3.2 sec for the sedan version.
If we look for the Taycan’s design, it sits low to the ground and has a sloping bonnet. It has a tapering roofline, LED tail lamps are some of Porsche’s classic designs.
Apart from the design and styling, it features two-zone climate control, electrically adjustable seats, a multi-function sports steering wheel, a 10.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity, a curved digital instrument cluster, and more.
