Is it illegal to put petrol in the car whilst door is open?
There is no law in the UK that specifically prohibits putting petrol in a car while the door is open. However, there are safety risks associated with doing so. If the petrol pump hose is not properly inserted into the car, it can cause petrol to spill, create an explosion, and possibly cause a fire. For this reason, most petrol stations have signs warning against putting petrol in a car while the door is open.
