As usual, Nissan released the European sales figures long after other markets, but finally we’ve all the data available.
Let’s see and compare to previous month.

In Europe the LEAF outsold my favorite supermini, the Micra.

Nonetheless, every month in Europe the Qashqai SUV almost outsells all the other Nissan cars combined. For this reason Nissan is already preparing an electric compact SUV. However, Tesla with the Model Y might fill the gap sooner than Nissan.

Anyway, while current Nissan LEAF sales aren’t impressive, this will soon change. Not only the longer range and more powerful e-Plus version is coming, but also next year Nissan will make this electric car available in more countries, such as South Korea, Australia and Brazil.
