The fuel cut off switch for the 2021 Hyundai Tuscon turns off the fuel supply system in case of a collision or other emergency. It is located near the driver's left foot, next to the dead pedal. Look for the orange colored knob with a red button.
If you need to use the fuel cut off switch:
1. Press and hold the red button.
2. Turn the knob clockwise until it stops.
3. Release the button.
Using the fuel cut off switch will disable the fuel supply to the engine, preventing fuel from flowing from the fuel tank to the engine, reducing the risk of fire if there is a fuel line leak or broken fuel injector.
The fuel cut off switch should not be activated if the vehicle is moving, doing so may cause the engine to stall and lose power steering and brake power assist.
