What cars are exempt from paying fast trak?

The following vehicles are exempt from paying tolls on FasTrak-operated toll roads in the San Francisco Bay Area:

* Clean Air Vehicles with valid CAV decals - These include:

* Plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs)

* Battery electric vehicles (BEVs)

* Hydrogen fuel cell vehicles (HFCVs)

* Natural gas vehicles (NGVs)

* Propane autogas vehicles (PGVs)

* Motorcycles - Motorcyclists may use FasTrak lanes but are not required to have an account or pay tolls.

* Emergency vehicles - Emergency vehicles such as fire trucks, police cars, and ambulances are exempt from paying tolls.

* Government vehicles - Government vehicles with official government license plates are exempt from paying tolls.

* Public transportation vehicles - Public transportation vehicles such as buses and trains are exempt from paying tolls.

* Military vehicles - Military vehicles with official military license plates are exempt from paying tolls.

* Heavy vehicles - Heavy vehicles with three or more axles are not subject to tolls on most Bay Area toll bridges (with the exception of the Golden Gate Bridge).
