Where is the obd2 plug on a 1997 Mercedes e320?

There may not be an OBD2 plug in a 1997 Mercedes E320. Cars did not begin including OBD2 ports in vehicles sold in the US until 1996, and there may be a grey area for some 1996 Mercedes models. OBD1 ports may still be present, but if the vehicle has an OBD1 port it is highly unlikely that it will be compatible with modern OBD2 scanners or code readers.
