The fuse box for the rear lights on the SLK 230 is located in the trunk. To access the fuse box, follow these steps:
1. Open the trunk.
2. Locate the black plastic cover on the left side of the trunk, near the taillight.
3. Pry the cover off using a flat-head screwdriver or your fingernail.
4. The fuse box will be located underneath the cover.
Fuse Identification
The fuse for the rear lights is labeled "RR LIGHTS" on the fuse box cover. The fuse is a 7.5 amp fuse.
Replacing the Fuse
If the rear lights are not working, the fuse may be blown. To replace the fuse, follow these steps:
1. Turn off the ignition and open the trunk.
2. Locate the fuse box as described above.
3. Remove the blown fuse using fuse removal tool or your fingers.
4. Insert a new 7.5 amp fuse into the fuse socket.
5. Close the fuse box cover.
6. Turn on the ignition and check the rear lights.
