Electric trunk release:
1. Locate the mechanical keyhole cover near the license plate.
2. Gently pry open the cover using a thin flat-head screwdriver or any suitable tool.
3. Insert the key into the keyhole and turn it clockwise. The trunk will release and open.
Mechanical trunk release:
1. Locate the emergency trunk release lever inside the driver's footwell, typically near the parking brake pedal.
2. Pull the lever to release the trunk.
3. Go to the rear of the car and lift the trunk manually.
Note: In some cases, you may need to disconnect the battery before attempting to open the trunk manually, especially if the battery is completely dead. Make sure you have a backup battery or a jump starter to reconnect the battery once the trunk is open.
